I like Stewart’s zinger “You can’t look at past performance as a predictor, because you wouldn’t be, obviously, still a pundit.”
Yes, pre-Iraq war for example, Kristol was making the rounds pooh-poohing the idea that Sunnis and Shiites would have any problems getting along. I’m sure there’s a lot more.
