Um, this is so awkward it makes me kind of sad. You can just see it in his face some aid is going to get punched as soon as the reporters go away.

The howling effect in the background is the sound of the despair that sweeps through a liar’s soul as he tries to deceive the maximum number of people and yet maintain a reputation for integrity.

Excellent …. Obama can save some money by advertising less but having reporters ask more hard questions …. he should do a debate ….

you both are ridiculous. do you realize how many votes Mccain has cast in his time as a senator? Do you remember exactly what the circumstances were of every decision you’ve made for the last 20 years? Do you also realize the touchiness of that particular issue? Unless he has a prepared well thought answer to that question, it would most definitly lead to TONS of criticism on the liberal media. So long story short, his reaction was more than understandable. “Despair that sweeps through a liar’s soul” Are you kidding me? Pete, you need to re evaluate the way that you see the world. Try not to replace Obama and McCain for God and the Devil. It really makes you seem less intelligent than you probably are.

and yokie? There are questions to ask either candidate that will make them squirm… perhaps Obama hasn’t squirmed yet because all he talks about is ‘unity’ and avoids actually educating the public on his specific plans and points of view.

I am open for disagreements, but I have to say, you both sound regrettably ignorant in your portrayal of current events in your posts…

Tom, I never brought God or the Devil into this. My disgust is with the spin-doctor driven media environment where the candidate needs to know what he “should” say. It’s deceptive, calculating, and utterly at odds with the roguish, maverick, shoot-from-the-hip aura that McCain and your so-callled liberal media have worked so hard to build around him.

And for the record, I support Obama on the issues. But I share your wish for more substantive discussion of serious wonkery. Anything that will shift the dialogue from “terrorist fist jabs,” secret Islamism and the other bullshit that we seem to love wallowing in so much.

so-called liberal media? this isn’t even worth discussing. get your head out of the sand. just because you agree with them does not mean they are not opinionated.

There is also a fierce right-wing media, Tom. Ever listen to the Fair and Balanced network? Just because you agree with THEM does not mean they are not equally opinionated.
