No One is Fooled

They can block all of the websites that they want, but anyone smart enough to find my site can find this article, or this one, or this one. The best disinfectant is always light.

Here is the sad truth:

Government handlers shouted for the journalists to leave and tried to pull them away during the 15-minute protest by about 30 monks at the [ ]Monastery in central [ ]. It was unclear whether the protesting monks were arrested.

The demonstration amounted to another embarrassment for China, which organized the press tour to help sway international opinion, which has focused on China’s heavy crackdown and arrests in the aftermath of the riots and led to talk of a boycott of the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.

Apologies for removing words that might get me in trouble. Full article is here (again).

Scripted events don’t work. The only ones fooled are the people who think they can hide behind propaganda.

And Bush is way behind the EU leadership in really pushing China to shape up or face boycotts. What a chump.

No one who cares is fooled. But, people who don’t care, the one’s who need to be shocked, bothered or annoyed into action, are not. To that extent the government’s tactics are somewhat successful here, especially if people just don’t care about the truth being kept from them either.

The way I see it, is that the, incredibly ineffective against anyone motivated, blocking tactics here are not an attempt to stop the preaching; just an attempt to make sure the the preaching only reaches the converted.

But most Chinese people take it for granted that it is necessary for CCP to pull down the riots. They are taught to “love our contry, love CCP” since theire childhood and these ideas has been rooted in theire heads. They don’t know what’s real opinions outside China. How do they know their government is hiding the truth?

Besides, only a few Chinese pople can read, wite and speak in English without difficulty. What they know about ourside China are from their media.

    What a shame!
