China’s Come So Near, Far
When I first showed up in China, a mere four years after Titanic won Best Picture, Celine Dion was a constant irritant in internet cafes and bars. She has continued to be, but not as much as before. Until now. Here’s a sign of the times:

I walk past that DVD store everyday since our office is at Justmake Plaza (Don’t even get me started on the weird name). It’s for her “taking chances” tour in China. I think it’s a smart move by this tiny DVD store but wonder whether they get a cut from the ticket sale.
