I agree with student and Yang's explanation of "P", but I don't understand why the original poster would've written "P" instead of "屁"- I can think of much coarser words of an anatomical nature. I would've translated the sentence as something along the lines of: "China's got economic status my arse!" (note the use of the real English term "arse" instead of the American corruption "ass", which actually means donkey).

"It’s slightly ironic, because my thought has always been that China keeps North Korea in line to a large degree,"

Ahh, but that's you're American anti-China brainwashing!

"印地安人除了会吃turkey以外.没什么创造力"

That's 98% ignorance, 1% sheer stupidity, and 1% racism. Still doesn't make it right, though... Especially in a country that grows and eats a huge number of crops that were first cultivated by those very same "Indians"- I refer, of course, to the sheer amount of corn grown in Beijing's rural areas, as well as tomatoes and potatoes- both the regular and sweet (what us Kiwis call kumara) varieties- peanuts, and probably a few others that have slipped my mind. And let's not mention tobacco....

And just to make sure: Half of this comment was written tongue firmly in cheek.

i think "P" stands for the chinese word "pi" which is "ass", so saying “中国有个P经济地位” basically means china has no economic standing at all.
